The Right Angle Cross of the Four Ways is named for Gate 24 and Gate 44. Human Design reads Gate 24, from Hexagram 24, Return, sits in the Ajna and is read as a mind circling the same thought repeatedly until it finally resolves; and Gate 44, from Hexagram 44, Coming to Meet, sits in the Spleen and is read as an instinctive memory for people and patterns, a nose for who can be relied on. It sits in the Right Angle family, the most populous of the three, and Human Design reads that family as steered chiefly by personal choice.

Its design half is Gate 19 and Gate 33. Gate 19 sits in the Root and is read as sensitivity to what a community needs, whether resources, shelter or closeness; it pairs with Gate 49 in the channel of Synthesis. Gate 33 sits in the Throat and is read as the need to withdraw and hold an experience privately before telling it; it pairs with Gate 13 in the channel of the Prodigal.
