This Right Angle Cross of the Vessel of Love is named for Gate 10 and Gate 15 rather than Gate 46 and Gate 25, though all four gates and the Vessel of Love theme are shared across the family. Human Design reads Gate 10, from Hexagram 10, Treading, as conduct that stays true to one's own nature rather than to expectation, and Gate 15, from Hexagram 15, Modesty, as a love of humanity broad enough to embrace extremes, with no fixed rhythm of its own. It falls in the Right Angle family, the most populous of the three, and practitioners read that group as personal, a direction shaped chiefly by what the individual decides.

Behind that pair, Gate 46 and Gate 25 form the design half, both also seated in the G, or Identity, centre. Gate 46 is read as love of the body together with a knack for arriving in the right place at the right time; elsewhere it pairs with Gate 29 in the channel of Discovery. Gate 25 is read as an innocence that places universal love above particular attachment; it pairs with Gate 51 in the channel of Initiation.

Named for self-regard and tolerance rather than for the body and universal love, this variant of the Vessel of Love cross still rests on the same four Identity centre gates as the rest of the family. So the self-regard and tolerance the first article reads on this variant's surface answer to the arcs of transformation and form, while the love of the body and the innocence beneath them answer to the arcs of bonding and mind, the same four arcs its sibling cross draws on with personality and design simply reversed. Naming four different orderings of the same four gates as four distinct crosses is the modern system's own structural choice, and the wheel's own Quarters do not distinguish between the orderings, only the mandala's own arithmetic does.
