The fall of the Watchers, expanding the two obscure verses of Genesis 6:1-4 into the whole myth of the fallen angels. This passage is the source of most later Jewish and Christian demonology, including the names of the fallen. Charles' half-brackets marking restored text do not fall in these two verses. 1 Enoch is canonical in the Ethiopian Orthodox and Eritrean Orthodox churches and nowhere else.
