An oil on canvas painting titled "The Triumph of Mordecai," by the French painter Jean Francois de Troy, ca. 1736. It shows the scene from the Book of Esther in which Mordecai, having exposed a plot against the king, is led through the city on horseback in royal robes by his rival Haman, who is forced to proclaim his honor. Held today by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, European Paintings department, under accession 07.225.285.
