Wikipedia's article on the history of Tenrikyo, community-edited and unusually well dated. Reliable for the 26 October 1838 founding by Nakayama Miki, the Meiji-era surveillance and suppression culminating in the 6 April 1896 Home Ministry Directive No. 12, the 27 November 1908 recognition as an independent Sect Shinto branch, the 16 December 1935 headquarters investigation and 1939 Instruction Eight wartime reformation prohibiting the Kagura service, the 1945 to 1949 postwar doctrinal reorganization removing State Shinto ideology, and the 1966 declaration "Tenrikyo is nothing but Tenrikyo" completing its break from Shinto classification; not the right source for Tenrikyo's specific arrival in Hawaii or Brazil, which this article does not cover.

Reliability Tier
3
Community-edited reference page, tier 3, but unusually densely dated for a Wikipedia article, with named directives and petition dates rather than decade-level approximation.
