La Sainte Tunique d'Argenteuil - Basilica of Saint-Denys

This is the Basilique Saint-Denys d'Argenteuil's own account of itself as custodian of the Holy Tunic, the seamless garment traditionally venerated as the one worn by Jesus, held in the Diocese of Pontoise and displayed at solemn ostensions roughly every fifty years, most recently in 2016 with the next scheduled for 2034. As the custodial institution's own presentation it is the correct source for what the basilica claims and for the practical facts of the relic's display schedule. Its limit is the same as any custodian's self-account, it states the tradition and the institution's own claim about the relic rather than independently verifying its authenticity, so a claim about the tunic's actual historical origin needs an independent scholarly source.
