Robert G. Jahn was a Princeton engineering professor and Brenda J. Dunne a psychologist, and this Harcourt Brace Jovanovich book is their own account of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research program's random event generator and remote perception experiments, run at Princeton from 1979 to 2007. As the researchers' own report of their own program it is the correct source for what PEAR actually claimed to find and how it ran its trials, in their own words. Its limit is substantial and well documented in the wider scientific literature, PEAR's statistical methodology and its claimed small effect sizes drew sustained methodological criticism from other researchers who could not replicate the results under tighter controls, so a claim about whether the reported effects are real needs that independent critical literature alongside this self-report.
