Between 27 July and 7 August 2022, the Anglican Communion held the fifteenth Lambeth Conference, the once a decade gathering of its bishops, in Canterbury, England, its first meeting since 2008 after the originally scheduled 2020 conference was postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby convened the conference under the theme God's Church for God's World, opening with a service at Canterbury Cathedral on 31 July 2022 at which the Right Reverend Vicentia Kgabe, Bishop of Lesotho, preached and bishops processed through the cathedral's Great West Door. Sessions were held across the University of Kent's Canterbury campus, Canterbury Cathedral and Lambeth Palace, drawing roughly six hundred bishops and their spouses from around one hundred sixty five countries across the Communion's provinces in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania.

It was the Communion's first Lambeth Conference since 2008, after the conference originally scheduled for 2020 was postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
