Beelzebub is assigned gluttony in this classification, though the name itself predates any link to that sin by well over a thousand years: it began as a Philistine god named in the Hebrew Bible and was recast as a chief demon in the New Testament and later exorcism literature well before Binsfeld paired him with a specific vice. That older, larger reputation is worth holding alongside the narrower role this one classification gives him.
